deborah Sommers
N.Y. born, award winning designer deborah Sommers has worked as a textile designer in Indonesia, an art director and illustrator in Hong Kong and Paris. Her work has been published and exhibited in the U.S. and Canada. Deborah's illustrations have graced the covers of international magazines, her poster designs were selected for the Canadian winter Olympic games.
As an art director she has worked on accounts as varied as Air France, Amex, Club Med, Microsoft, IBM, Conrad & Hyatt Hotels to name a few.
Her strength is in paring a design down to its essentials.
Working in close conjunction with contemporary landscape designers deborah’s textiles reflect the essence of the landscape, the mood of the interior and the personality of the client. Her current project of fabric art textiles has been featured in design magazines in Europe, the U.S. and Australia as well as a feature on Paris Interiors TV.
Deborah makes her home in Paris.
