Human Cities: celebrating public space

Human Cities is a concept which has been created and launched by Pro Materia in 2006. Acting now as a European Network of Creative Cities, this cutting-edge concept is funded by the EU Culture 2007-2013 Programme. It opens the door to extensive collaborations between Brussels, Glasgow, Milan and Ljubljana, where partners develop specific themes around sustainable urban design.
Parallel to public actions, the Human Cities programme also conducts research on urban design. Members from Brussels research public design, Milan focuses on sustainable communities while Glasgow and Lubjana respectively explore how to engage 8- to 12-year-olds in the design of public space and how to map people's engagement with public spaces.
Outdoorz Gallery is proud to announce the participation of designers Cecile Planchais, Lucille Soufflet and Michael Bihain.
